I know this probably makes me the biggest dork IN THE WORLD but:

Perry glanced at him only briefly before looking back at the television. "Looks like we're gonna be pretty well snowed in," he said. "Storm hit at about seven thirty--it's been going strong ever since. Think we've probably got over a foot and a half by now. On top of what we got last night, I mean."

JD closed his eyes. "Great," he muttered. He'd just made the biggest mistake of his life: admitting, both to himself and to the man in question, that he was in love with Perry Cox. And now he was officially trapped out here with him. He knew he wouldn't be able to fly until his arm healed; the flapping just put too much stress on the muscles of his shoulder, and if he tried he would probably open the wound again.

I immediately started singing "Let It Snow" in my head when I read that =D =D =D

No more flying that far in two days again. Can't believe I was thinking of going to Ohio yesterday..."

Perry looked at him sharply. "You were what, now?"

Hee! I can just HEAR Cox snapping at JD there =D

I felt like I was teaching a sixth grade health class."

*ROFL*!!! =D

He silenced his Karma voice by reminding it what would happen if they pushed the subject: Perry wouldn't kick him out, of that JD was now certain, but things would be miserably awkward; they'd probably barely be able to speak to one another, or even be in the same room. And losing Perry means losing Jack, he reminded himself.

O! Angst! How I doth loathe and love thee so!

Changelings were still having to deal with stores putting up "Humans Only" signs, with attacks if they dared go outside. Not to mention there were reports of strange animals in the wilderness, sightings of creatures who shouldn't exist.

This is a really good point to make here. If something like this did happen, aside from the whole "freak out" period, there would definitely be a major segregation in effect throughout every city and state - and even the world. It's sad to think how "humanity" as a whole prefers to label and seclude rather than study and understand in a healthy manner.

I'm very curious to see how the weather plays into all of this! =)

"They're dead, Perry," he said, voice dull. "Both of them."

Oh my word!!! I thought, at best, they were Changelings who were on the run or perhaps had been coming out to find JD!

Oh, I guess it's good to read a little further ahead before typing as I see that it WAS the Change that got them.

'I'm sorry' was so inadequate.

Good note, there. I always find myself perplexed by death with regard to dealing with the surviving loved ones. Apologising seems so odd to me and I most often end up saying nothing and STILL feeling awkward! /rambling

YAY to Cox for reaching out to JD and "I didn't even go home for Christmas..." he whimpered. It seemed a stupid thing to fixate on, but he couldn't help himself. almost made me cry! =( =(

He'd grown up knowing their hopes were on him. And he couldn't help feeling he'd let them down.

Oh my! I never really thought about that before. I know that JD is the "star" of the family and what not but to put it so succinctly is just fantastic! =)

You've got me..." he trailed off, for a moment hesitant, but at the hopefully look in JD's eyes he firmed his resolve. "You've got me," he said again.

The definitive manner in which Cox states 'you've got me' the second time is just YAY! to the extreme! =D

I'm a little wordy today so I have to break this into two comments. Continued below.
