Wow. I've been reading Changeling since the beginning and it's taken me until now to comment because I have an odd system of Internet reading which you don't really want to know about. Anyway, I read this at about 1am, and it really, really scared me. The imagery was so vivid, with the sound of the wings as they are severed and JD falling and the blood...augh. I could barely sleep. And I really, really hope that isn't foreshadowing. And also, I'm pretty sure that I'm actually addicted to this story. When it first came out, I was pretty sure I wouldn't be able to keep reading it the whole way through because it's just so long, and yet here I am, Chapter 21, clamouring for the next part. And it's all been so...epic-scaled and amazing. The sex scenes are very sexy, and the whole will-they-won't-they thing that went on before they admitted they were in love had me on tenterhooks, obsessively waiting for the next part. And all the cliffhangers! JD in danger, Perry in danger, the foreshadowing in the last chapter (and this) of Jack in danger, Turk, Carla and Elliot in danger...it's frankly jaw-dropping to see the well-loved characters adjusting to this new world, and I really can't wait to find out what's causing it and what other surprises are in store, I mean the weather changes and mythical creatures...what's next? The medical detail is astounding, and I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have the patience for that kind of in-depth research. I love the pictures that go along with it too, they're so beautiful, and someone said in an earlier chapter that it should be a picture book...it really should, and you have rightly accumulated a huge fanbase...it's really amazing. I kind of have no words. This could very well be the piece of fiction that draws new Scrubs writers into the fandom, what with the amount of people reading and enjoying it, and given that it is, apparently, based on the real-life novel thuri is attempting to write, I'm sure that will achieve great success if the success it's had here is anything to go by. I'd certainly buy it. I hope things are going well with the editing, and that the weather problems won't start up again. Wonderful work, and I wish I could give the kind of review this deserves.
