I'm a fairly recent Rent convert, I must confess. I saw the film late last year and loved it, so I promptly bought the DVD. I fell in love with Mark almost instantly, he's so loyal and adorkable. I managed to see a small production of Rent on stage a few months back (Australia really is the wrong part of the world for theatre- we've got fantastically talented performers, but there're only perhaps three big musicals a year, if that. So most Australian actors go to work on the West End or Broadway), which was amazing. I love the film, but it really needs to be seen live to have the full impact!

I wish I'd had the oppotunity to see it on Broadway, but unfortunately the family trip to New York is happening in... November. Missed it by two months!
